Please find below a brief description of the music acts we are looking forward to perform at the 2026 Food Festival. Where applicable you can go to their online details by clicking on the name.
Tin River
Tin River are favourites at local folk clubs, festivals, sessions and pub gigs and comprise Skip Shipley (melodeon and vocals), Mim Barnes (whistles and vocals) and Marya Parker (guitar and vocals). They are musical magpies picking up tunes and songs from a wide variety of sources and deliver them either acappella or with accompaniment, making for an interested and varied repertoire. Based in the Waveney Valley area, they’ve been playing together and separately for over 40 years in a range of ensembles
Michael Thrower
Mike plays original songs and cover versions acoustically/semi electrically in a bluesy folk style and has been performing in public for over 10 years.
Simon Squibb
A local musician playing a variety of tunes and songs including Appalachian, bluegrass, delta blues, modern folk and folk rock
Tsuki Moon
Billy Took
Billy Took is a Country/Folk Rock Singer/Songwriter and Guitarist based in Suffolk. At just 17 years of age, Billy writes his own music, is a self taught drummer, guitarist and vocalist and is developing quite a popular reputation in the local music scene. As well as playing original songs, Billy covers a wide range of artists mostly country such as John Denver, Bruce Springsteen, Ed Sheeran, Don McLean and many more!
Rumpus Ukulele
A large group of likeminded, young at heart people who do what they like and like what they do – “making a rumpus with ukuleles”. They strive to have fun playing ukuleles within a welcoming and social community that meets for enjoyment. Playing a repertoire of retero pop, folk, country and old time classics
Silver Linings
Silver Linings is a covers band that plays a selection of songs from the 1950s right up to the current day. They bring their own quirky style to the songs using a variety of instruments including acoustic and electric guitars and bass, mandolin, ukuleles and harmonica! The band play various gigs each year all around Norfolk and Suffolk.
The Ballard Bootleggers are a folk trio from Suffolk, performing foot stomping, fast paced, traditional ‘old time’ music from America and Europe.
Lelia – the Guitar Siren. A classical guitarist with a repertoire to leave you relaxed and reminiscing
Pop Club Choir
Pop Club Choir is a group of people who get together weekly to sing favourite pop classics, some modern hits and fabulous show tunes in a relaxed, fun and friendly atmosphere. The choir gathers in a range of locations across East Anglia under the direction of Ed Dewson who has been performing and teaching music for many years and who has sung with the likes of Robbie Williams and Westlife in a range of international locations
